It is important when remitting payment for subscriber services that you mail your payment to the Maine Account Deposits address located on the right-hand side of your invoice, opposite your billing address. By mailing your payment to the correct address your account will be credited properly.

The Department of Economic and Community development is delighted to be offering the online Business Answers program! The one-stop shopping feature allows an individual to find everything they need to start a business with a simple click of the mouse thus eliminating the need to visit or call multiple state agencies
Through a series of questions asked by a virtual Business Licensing Assistant, potential entrepreneurs drill down to specific registrations and permit forms required to operate a specific type of business in the State of Maine. Visitors will also find other useful business start-up resources as well, including relevant information, helpful publications, and answers to frequently asked questions.

Public Criminal Records:
New!
The State Bureau of Investigations, with the collaboration of the Department of Public Safety, has placed Public Criminal Record Requests online! As a subscriber, you may request an individuals criminal record by simply entering their first name, last name and date of birth. You may request that the results be sent to you via email or through postal mail and the results may be returned within two hours. If a record has not yet been added to the system, this request may require manual intervention and could take up to 12 weeks.
Because you are a subscriber you are able to check the status of your requests and view submitted requests for up to 30 days by selecting View Past Request and Billing Information on the Subscriber Account Management webpage. For Maine Subscribers the fee is $15.00 per request and for out-of-state subscribers the fee is $25.00 per request.
