Welcome to the Over Limit Permits Online Service

This online application gives you the ability to apply for Over Limit Permits from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Applications are subject to review by the BMV. Permits that may be obtained through this application are as follows:

• Trips within the State of Maine or participating New England States (NH, MA, RI, VT).
• Non-divisible loads.

Note: In order to retrieve an Over Limit Permit, you must be able to print an Adobe PDF document. Download the Adobe Reader. If you need an alternate format, please contact the BMV office by email at: overpermits@maine.gov.
