Our Purpose
The Board
of Boilers and Pressure Vessels was established to preserve
and protect the health of the people of the State of Maine by
insuring the safe construction, installation, alteration, repair,
use and operation of boilers and pressure vessels in the State
of Maine.
The primary
responsibilities of the Board are to evaluate qualifications
of applicants, to administer examinations of applicants, to
grant licenses to those who meet board requirements, investigate
complaints and take appropriate disciplinary action.
