You must have a valid 2005 Maine Big Game hunting license in your possession to apply online. (valid lifetime and complimentary hunting liceses are also acceptable)

Maine Resident...

Must meet all these requirements to be eligible to purchase a resident hunting license:

must be domiciled in Maine continuously for 3 months prior to applying for the license, or, if a resident alien, domiciled in Maine for at least one year;
must be in compliance with Maine Income Tax Laws;
if licensed to drive, must have made application for or possess a Maine Drivers license;
all motor vehicles owned by applicant and located in Maine must be registered in Maine; and
if registered to vote, applicant must be registered to vote in a Maine town.

Non-resident...

Any citizen of the United States who does not meet the Maine residency requirements.

Foreign Resident other than Canada

Maine Lifetime License...

If you are a non-resident applying with a Maine lifetime license, please fill out the Non-resident option, and we will automatically consider you a resident, regardless of your current legal residence state.
