MDOT: Aircraft Registration

Welcome to Online Aircraft Registration Renewal!

The Department of Transportation is pleased to announce a new service that makes it possible for you to renew your annual aircraft registration without signing an application, writing out a check and mailing in your payment.

Now available for 2006 renewals! Please take a moment to walk through the system demonstration.

The online aircraft registration renewal is available only to registrants whose aircraft is registered in a participating municipality. Find out if your municipality is part of the program.

Through the use of the Internet, your renewal can be completed quickly and easily online in one simple transaction. You can now print your registration certificate through your computer's printer. Your decals will arrive in the mail within 7 to 10 business days. Payment is made by electronic check.

To process your renewal:

You must be age 18 or older
Your aircraft is based in a participating Maine municipality

You will need to have:

A printed renewal application with your Customer ID
A check or deposit slip with your bank's routing/transit number and your account number
Adobe Reader version 3.0 or higher installed on your computer in order to view and print your registration .Test here to see if you have a correct version of Adobe Reader.
